Un altro incidente ad una piattaforma petrolifera a Vermilion Bay, Louisiana

The Coast Guard is reporting that they have responded to a rig explosion that happened 80 miles south of Vermilion Bay Thursday morning.

The accident reportedly happened around 8:00 a.m. Thursday morning. The Coast Guard was notified by Rotor Aircraft of a report of smoke and fire onboard the Vermillion Oil Rig 380.

The rig is reportedly owned by Mariner Energy which is based in Houston, with an office in Lafayette.

Reports say 13 people were on the rig, and they have all been accounted for. One was injured, but the other 12 are reportedly OK
